The short answer is no. This recipe is intended for cats with chronic kidney disease or those under veterinary supervision for kidney-related concerns. They do not meet the full requirements for healthy adult cats – so we recommend sticking to our standard menus.
My FFKid requires high amount of hydration. How does this meal support that?
All FFK meals are wet food and help keep your furry kid hydrated. In addition, we recommend adding extra broth or warm water. Broth is available to be added to your order at checkout.
Is this recipe vet-approved?
Yes! All our recipes, including our renal support meals are vet-approved therapeutic diets, crafted to meet the specific nutritional needs of cats with kidney disease.
How do I serve the FFKare Kidney Support menu?
Super easy! Our meals are fully cooked and ready to serve.
Just thaw overnight in the fridge, or place the pack in a bowl of lukewarm water (not hot) for 30 minutes if you’re in a rush. No cooking needed—just open, serve, and watch your FFKids dig in!
After thawing, if you’d like to serve it warm (which many furry kids find more appetising), you can place the sealed pack in lukewarm water for 2-3 minutes.
Important: Please don’t heat our meals in a microwave or on a hot pan, as this can destroy the natural nutrients.
How do I start my cat on FFK?
We recommend a gradual 7-day transition to avoid tummy upsets:
- Day 1–2: 25% FFK + 75% current food
- Day 3–4: 50% FFK + 50% current food
- Day 5–6: 75% FFK + 25% current food
- Day 7+: 100% FFK
You may go slower if your FFKids has a sensitive tummy, especially if they show digestion issues in the first couple of days of the transition.
Can kittens and/or dogs eat this menu?
Is this suitable for sensitive tummies?
No, it isn’t ideal. This menu contains chicken and eggs, which are both common allergens and may trigger sensitivities. For sensitive FFKids, we recommend our Hypoallergenic Menus.
Can I mix this with dry food?
